THE WOMAN
Born in January 1985, Erica Nichole McCants is a woman of faith, resilience, leadership, and purpose. Raised with strong values and determination, Erica has spent her life breaking barriers, empowering others, and walking boldly in the calling God placed on her life.
THE WORKER
A proud honor graduate of Macon County High School, Erica continued her education at Albany State University, earning one Bachelor’s Degree and two Master’s Degrees. Following the passing of her father in 2005, Erica faced one of the most difficult seasons of her life. Determined to rise above grief and create a new path forward, she enlisted in the United States Army, where she faithfully served her country for six years. After returning home, Erica pursued a career in law enforcement and became the first Black female detective in Cordele, Georgia. Her passion for service and leadership continued through her work with the United States Postal Service before she stepped out on faith to launch Erica’s Soulfood Restaurant, known for its signature slogan, “Love At First Bite.” Today, Erica continues to expand her influence as an entrepreneur, motivational leader, celebrity chef, and visionary, using her gifts to open doors in industries she once only dreamed about.
THE WORSHIPPER
From a young age, Erica knew she was called to minister and inspire others through the Gospel. On October 16, 2016, she was officially licensed to preach at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Andersonville, Georgia. In December 2020, Erica founded Sowing Into Sisters, Inc. (S.I.S.), a global women’s ministry dedicated to empowering, uplifting, and transforming the lives of women through prayer, mentorship, and the Word of God. Through her leadership, S.I.S. has impacted thousands of women around the world.
THE WINNER
Through life’s challenges, setbacks, and personal battles, Erica has remained steadfast in her faith and committed to her purpose. She lives boldly by Psalm 108:13: “With God we shall do valiantly, for He it is that shall tread down our enemies.” Currently, God has placed Erica in Nevada to serve on one of the nation’s growing industrial workforce projects. Operating in a fast-paced, male-dominated industry, she continues to lead with professionalism, resilience, and excellence. While working in Nevada, Erica has also continued her ministry work, mentoring and encouraging people from all walks of life. Her journey is a testament that purpose and calling are not limited by location. Today, Erica Nichole McCants stands as a testimony of faith, perseverance, leadership, love, and victory!
